Pool Rules

The Pool Manager is in full charge of the pool's operations and has been directed to continue the club's high standards for cleanliness, safety, and order. He or she is authorized to restrict any action on the part of pool users which, in their judgment, may be prejudicial to the interests or enjoyment of the members as a whole.

Members

1. Bond holders and any associated members must complete their member profile and upload a recognizable photo using the online account services.
2. Members must present their Identification Card, downloaded from the online account, at the front gate.
3. Additional identification may be required for admittance.

Guests

1. Guests must be signed in at the front gate by an adult member (18 years or older) of the bond holder unit, and must be accompanied by that adult member while on the pool grounds. Members are liable for their guests and can be subject to removal if a guest does not follow pool rules.
2. Each family unit membership is entitled to 15 paid guest privileges per season — not 15 per member of the family. Use of these privileges is recorded on the Family Information Sheet kept in the pool office file.
3. Guests are permitted after 5:00 P.M. without counting against the 15 paid guest privileges.
4. Child guests count against the 15 paid guest privileges.
5. Guests after 5:00 P.M. are limited to a maximum of four per family unit per week. Any request for a variance from these maximum numbers must be submitted to the Pool Manager in advance, who will decide whether to approve it.
6. Party requests must be submitted to the Pool Manager two weeks in advance of the planned event.
7. Rates for guests

   Guest	Rate
   Adults / children (4 and older)	$10.00 per day
   Children 3 and under	Free

   1. No limit on the number of guests — however, if bringing more than 10 at one time, the pavilion must be rented.
   2. House guests
      1. Special rate: consecutive 7 days for one person, $30.00; each additional person, $15.00.
      2. All applications for the house guest rate must be made in writing to the Pool Manager.
      3. House guests are not counted against the 15 paid guest privileges.

1. The corporation is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Cash and other valuables should not be left unattended.
2. Chairs are provided for members' use, and members may also bring their own. The corporation assumes no liability for stolen or damaged chairs, or for injuries arising from the use of personal chairs.

1. Non-swimmers, for their own safety, must stay at the shallow end — whether in the pool or on the surrounding deck.
2. Children under 12 years old as of June 1st, and non-swimmers:
   1. Must be accompanied by a parent, a responsible adult, or another child at least 13 years old as of June 1st. The person supervising must be in the water with the child, or at the very least at poolside.
   2. May use only arm swimmies, inner tubes with a vest, or Red Cross–approved life vests, and must stay within arm's length of an adult. No inner tubes or rafts are permitted in the main pool.
3. No person shall use the pool unless it is officially open and guards are on duty.
4. At least one guard must be on duty and seated in a guard chair whenever the pool is open.
5. Intoxicated persons will not be admitted.
6. Running and rough play, in or out of the water, is strictly prohibited.

7. At the first clap of thunder or flash of lightning, everyone must leave the pools and the fenced areas surrounding them. No one may return until one half hour after the last clap of thunder, or until the Pool Manager advises otherwise.

8. No glass containers are allowed anywhere on pool property.
9. Wading pool rules
   1. No food is permitted in the wading pool or on the cement deck surrounding it.
   2. Only children 7 years and younger are permitted in the wading pool, and they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
   3. Rough play and running are not permitted.
10. Diving well rules
    1. To use the diving boards, children must pass a Level II swim test, administered by a lifeguard. To pass, a child must:
       1. Swim the length of the pool — no doggy paddle.
       2. Tread water for 30 seconds.
    2. No inward or cutaway dives permitted.
    3. Only one bounce on the board.
    4. Only one person on the board at a time.
    5. Divers must wait until the person before them reaches the ladder before diving in.
    6. Divers must go immediately to the ladder and exit the water.
    7. There is no free swim in the diving well unless permission is given by the guard on duty.

1. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into or consumed on pool property, except during special affairs announced by the Board of Directors.
2. Good judgment and discretion should be exercised at all times, especially regarding attire. Cutoffs are not suitable as swimming suits.

3. Diversity is valued at the swim club. Members are expected to be respectful in language and behavior so as not to cause harm to other members and staff. Discrimination, defamation of character, harassment, or bullying of any kind — including online — will not be tolerated. Members and guests who do not follow this guideline may be asked to leave by the Pool Manager.

1. No pets of any kind are permitted on the pool grounds.
2. No member or guest — and no child or guest under their care — may enter the pool while wearing surgical bandages or suffering from an infection or communicable disease.
3. No smoking.
4. No food or beverages may be consumed on the pool deck, except water in an unbreakable container.
5. Children who are not toilet-trained are not permitted in the wading pool or main pool without special swim diapers and closely fitting plastic pants.
6. Parents must make frequent diaper checks, including one before placing a child in a pool. Diaper checks must be made with the child out of the water.

1. The Pool Manager may designate a fifteen-minute "Adult Swim" period each hour.
2. During this period, only members 16 years of age and over may use the pool. All children under 16 must leave the pool and the fenced pool enclosure for its duration.
3. "Lap Lanes" may be designated during this period and must be respected by all.

1. Violation of any pool rule is cause for suspension of pool privileges or other disciplinary action.
2. The Board of Directors has delegated authority to the Pool Manager to suspend a member's pool privileges for up to one week.

This is your pool. Members are asked to assist with clean-up days and other volunteering opportunities. If you have questions or recommendations, please bring them to the Pool Manager or a Board Member.
