HUNTING HILLS EVENT CALENDAR
Fall is upon us! And sadly the pool has closed for the year.
But that doesn't mean the work is done! We want to do all we can as members to take care of small projects around the property, so as to minimize the cost to our members. That way membership money is reserved for large projects, like leaks and such.
But we understand you have children, as do we all. So we invite you to bring them with you! Bring their bikes! Bring their nerf guns! They can ride their bikes and scooters all over the property (As long as they stay off the pool deck)
Also, do you have a teenager who needs service hours? Bring them! We can sign their forms!
Projects this year for volunteers vary from painting the garage, staining the pavillion, small carpentry projects, various hedge trimming/weeding, cleaning out the garage and more.
These cleanup days are usually lots of fun and a great chance to work together as a "pool family". Please sign up if you can make it. Reach out to email@example.com if you have any questions. We will try and have all supplies and tools we can muster but please email and offer anything you can. Grounds will be unlocked by 9am and someone will be there til 2pm. Hope to see you there!!
Open to members only. Guests are permitted as long as they properly socially distance. You MUST bring your own chairs.
This event is Free to Members!
Monster Squad is rated PG-13 (However feel free to look up the parents guide as it's a fun family movie)
Come see "Monster Squad" with the whole family!! You have the option to sit pool side for a family fun evening!!
You can bring your own snacks but they CANNOT be on the pool deck.
You may setup on chairs or towels on the deck but you must bring them with you.
Please be kind and clean up your space after.
Five youngsters find themselves up against the combined might of Dracula, the Mummy, the Gill Man and Frankenstein's Monster who arrive in town in search of a magic amulet.
Any questions about movie night please email firstname.lastname@example.org
On Friday NIGHT November 20th 2020, across the country, people of all ages and backgrounds will give up the warmth of their beds and the comfort of their homes to sleep outside, just like thousands of kids with nowhere else to go do every night. Throughout the year the Covenant house does fundraising via "Sleep out America" to raise money for homeless children across america. (www.covenanthouse.org)
2 years ago, our outgoing Vice President Alexander Decker did this by himself in the parking lot to raise money for this cause. Last year, 10 members of our club participated, and "Team Hunting Hills" placed 12th country for fundraising! We were neck and neck with Cisco Systems and Delta airlines up until the final day and the Baltimore Sun did a story about our team! This year, we have multiple members who are already signed up and we need more to participate!
Last year we had (2) 8 year old children, 2 teenagers and 6 adults who slept out. My son was one of the kids and he loved it. You can choose "How" you want to sleep out. Some will bring air mattresses, some will just use a sleeping bag. We don't even care if you want a tent. The goal is to sleep outside to support the cause. We also encourage you to bring friends and family! As long as we are all socially distant in our sleeping arrangements we are fine (We have 6.5 acres of property to choose from)
This is a rain or shine event. If it rains, we'll setup our tents in the clubhouse or under the pavilion or anywhere dry But the show must go on.
All we encourage you to do at this point is click "Going" so we can gather our team. At a later date we'll reach out to you with details. Let's make it our goal to place in the top 10 for the country this year!! Any questions just email me below.
