HUNTING HILLS EVENT CALENDAR
Swim Team Registration for 2021 is now open.
We have received notice from CMSL that swim team is a go this year. The meets are all going to be "virtual meets", meaning each team will swim on the same day, however they'll stay at their respective pools & then exchange times afterwards. As of now we have:
06/19 - Time Trials
06/26 - Meet #1
07/10 - Meet #2
07/17 - Meet #3
Registration is now open on the website. Fees are as follows:
$120.00 for one swimmer
$160.00 for two swimmers
$185.00 for 3 or more swimmers
Click here or go to our events page and you'll see the registration. The registration page should explain pricing and all is the same as previous years. Don't forget you also need to register with AAU (Cost is $18.00 a year I believe) and instructions for that are also in the event. You can email me at email@example.com with any issues or questions.
Are you new to the pool? We highly encourage to consider signing you child up. Even if they are still working on their swim technique, this is the perfect environment to perfect it. We've had swimmers in previous years who at the beginning of the season could barely get across the pool, but by the end of the season had perfected stroke technique.
We will be hosting a fitting on 05/27 @ 5:30pm, with a swim parents meeting following at 6:00 pm. We would then need to establish volunteers to their respective positions. This meeting is SUPER important and we encourage all parents to RSVP for this event, which you can do here or also on the events page.
We are in need of ONE parents to volunteer to get certified as a stroke and turn judge this year. This is vital due to the virtual nature of these meetings. You can email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can assist with this.
Last but not least, my contribution to the team this year will be getting a record board to be permanently hung down at the pool. I have plans to build it myself, but encourage suggestions. I want to have best time for team & best time for pool. I think it gives kids a goal to shoot for outside of their respective races.
I appreciate everyone's patience & understanding with everything. As a former swimmer, I'm honestly not too thrilled with the virtual nature of this. However, the kids are going to have a blast with this, and in the end isn't that what matters? So everyone please start registering ASAP here and reach out to me with any questions.
